YPIL Push-on type terminations have been indigenously
designed to suit the environmental requirements of hot,
arid, humid & tropical countries, wherein extremes
of temperature, humidity, salinity etc. are encountered
continuously.Unlike the other apparently similar systems
available, which are basically designed for use in cold
European Climates. YPIL Push-on termination have been
fundamentally engineered to perform in the invasive
& corrosive climates prevalent in the tropical &
shore-lined regions, without mitigating the system capabilities
to perform in cold environment.
RELIABILITY
An extensive performance test study carried our as
per various National/International quality standards
including VDE-0278, IS:13573:92 (Latest) & IEEE
48 followed by several years of performance ensures
the high quality & reliability of YPIL Push-On Terminations.
STRESS CONTROL
This is done, a YPIL Push-on system, by a stress cone
made of highly insulating & non-tracking material
bonded to a semi-conducting & concentric section.
The design of the stress cone has been optimized to
ensure, even distribution of stresses at the portion
where the screen is terminated & adequate dielectric
strength of the insulating profile. The stress cone
has been designed to operate upto 36 Kv. The S.C. pad
used for maintaining the continuity of stress cone with
insulation screen of the cables is a special grade of
elastomer with cold flow properties which results in
for a homogeneous mass free from air pockets & micro
voids between the screen & insulated profile of
stress cone which insures for an absolute discharge
free termination.
SHELF LIFE
The factory moulded components for making YPIL Push-on
terminations have infinite shelf life under normal conditions.
FLAME RETARDANCY
YPIL push-on terminations are made with materials made
out of special formulations to offer substantial degree
of flame retardancy.
APPLICATION
Outdoor / Indoor switchgear, motor, transformer, switchyards
etc.
